See, hear, feel
a glimpse into the future of car interiors
Selected materials are composed on a 8K media wall. Using a real time 3D system they are subject to light, shadow and reflections, creating a deep and hi-resolution multilayered collage. Mirrors on all sides create infinite repetition and a profound sense of space.
The installation flanked the main stage of the Hyundai booth of this years International Motor Show IAA in Frankfurt am Main.
Visitors choose and mix innovative materials and create their own custom configuration. Communicating a proclaimed freedom of choice when it comes to the interior of next generation mobility.
Sound to motion
translating audio into parametric animation
Each material has it’s own sound layer. Each sound layer triggers different movements of the visuals. Resulting in a braught variation of states with hundreds of possible combinations.
The process
Prototyping the mirror effect in the lab and the material frame with LED light and sensors.
Sound design with special cues for visual motion.
Several approaches to a generative visual language.
Setup with fan-cooled backlit description texts behind two-way mirror cutouts.
